As a Senior Database Administrator at American Systems Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and performance of our databases. You will create and manage databases necessary for development, testing, and operational usage. A critical aspect of your job will be to develop a comprehensive backup and recovery plan for databases, which will require government approval. Once the plan is approved, you will implement it and provide detailed reports on all maintenance activities and issues resolved. Additionally, you will offer recommendations for database interfaces to the application development team, ensuring that our systems are efficient and effective. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update databases and provide database support for fleet data collection and exercises.
  • Create and maintain databases required for development, testing, and operational usage.
  • Provide a recommended plan for backup and recovery of databases for Government approval.
  • Implement the approved backup and recovery plan upon receipt of Government approval.
  • Provide a report detailing all maintenance performed and issues corrected.
  • Provide database interface recommendations to the application development team.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 4 years of experience in website maintenance, database maintenance, system certification and testing, and verification and validation (V&V)
  • 1 or more years of experience in applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) to software code and software configuration.
  • 1 or more years of experience resolving Problem Trouble Reports (PTR)s.
