About the position

The Senior Database Administrator will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our database systems, ensuring their security, performance, and reliability. This position requires a deep understanding of database technologies, particularly in the context of cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up, integrating, and securing databases, particularly with SaaS applications. A strong focus on security protocols, including Active Directory and Single Sign-On (SSO), is essential for this role. In addition to security, the Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for data lake management and data modeling, specifically using Snowflake, AWS S3, and Glue. This includes designing and implementing data architectures that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. The candidate will also be tasked with setting up security and access controls within Snowflake to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards. The role demands a hands-on approach, with at least 5 years of experience working with databases such as DB2/UDB and SQL Server. The Senior Database Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and will be expected to stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in setting up security and access controls in Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols including Active Directory and SSO.
