SAVA, an Akima company, is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our team at the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This position is critical to our mission of delivering enterprise IT and mission support solutions to the federal government, particularly in enhancing national security and improving communications and collaboration. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for building, administering, managing, upgrading, and migrating database environments primarily using Oracle and MS SQL technologies. Your role will involve performing enterprise database administration and system administration across various designated systems, ensuring the integrity and performance of our database environments. In this position, you will manage the storage of data on various devices, monitor usage, and utilize government-approved software utilities to ensure data integrity. You will implement measures to maintain and improve system performance while supporting the achievement of all pertinent Acceptable Quality Levels. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting cybersecurity efforts by creating and maintaining necessary policies, procedures, and artifacts required to obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) statuses. Compliance activities will also be part of your responsibilities, including incident response, vulnerability scanning, and configuration management.
