About the position

HUBS, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Database Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for performing monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, storage and capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and security for computer databases. You will provide technical support for database development, overseeing schema, structure, and transactional processing of the database system, and implementing production changes. Your duties will also include performing database maintenance, log shipping, and managing user-scheduled jobs. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will conduct self-audits, disaster recovery verification, service pack implementation, and other DBA maintenance tasks. You will enforce standards, policies, processes, and procedures for data management and quality, while also researching technology and company business operations. Additionally, you will assist in troubleshooting application and database objects. This position is hybrid, allowing you to work from home up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, storage and capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and security for computer databases.
• Provide technical support for database development, oversee schema, structure, and transactional processing of database system.
• Implement production changes.
• Perform database maintenance, log shipping and user scheduled jobs.
• Conduct self-audit, disaster recovery verification, service pack implementation and DBA maintenance tasks.
• Enforce standards, policies, processes and procedures for data management and quality.
• Research technology and company business operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting application and database objects.

Requirements

• Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience as a SQL Database Administrator or in a related role.
• At least 4 years of experience managing and supporting SQL Server in Azure (IAAS, PAAS).
• At least 4 years of experience with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
• At least 2 years of experience with Ideara and PagerDuty DBMS monitoring and tools.
• At least 2 years of experience with Windows Server OS administration.
• At least 2 years of experience with DBMS maintenance tools.
