About The Position
The position involves designing or modifying data models to address complex database requirements while considering both business and application needs. The role requires organizing metadata for use by various teams, ensuring that data models are not only functional but also aligned with the overall enterprise data strategy. The individual will be responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinating the design of advanced data model designs and metadata management, which are crucial for the success of project development teams. In this role, the candidate will provide application-level data modeling support, assisting in the creation and maintenance of enterprise-wide data standards. Participation in enterprise-wide logical data modeling is essential, with the individual leading efforts on assigned data subject areas. The position also involves assisting with the implementation of metadata management tools, facilitating discussions to support database designs, and participating in the management of a global metadata repository. The candidate will identify metadata sources, develop metadata management capabilities, monitor metadata quality, and create common data definitions. Coordination of testing and documentation of the global metadata repository is also a key responsibility, along with conducting user interviews to gather metadata requirements to ensure that business needs are met.
