About the position

The Senior Database Analyst will serve as a critical link between data infrastructure and business functions, optimizing data processes to support company objectives and growth. This high-visibility role involves frequent interaction with top-level executives, including the CEO, and focuses on enhancing data support across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with various departments to understand business processes and identify areas for enhanced data support.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of business processes and workflows.
• Lead 'train the trainer' sessions to improve data literacy across departments.
• Provide end-user IT support as needed.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal business units and the ERP vendor.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills to manage and analyze data within the ERP system.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL-generated reports, Microsoft SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards.
• Regularly assess and optimize database performance.
• Implement performance tracking metrics and data hygiene practices.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of data quality and establish actionable plans to enhance reporting accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in relational database development and management, preferably with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, from order entry to accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL design and programming within the Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining Microsoft SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and data relationships within them.
• Windows and active directory experience is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and documentation abilities.
