About the position

The Senior Database Analyst is a pivotal role that connects data infrastructure with business needs, working closely with key executives to drive data-informed decisions that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth. This position requires a strong technical background in database management, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to improve processes through data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside various teams to understand their processes and identify areas for data solutions to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes and workflows.
• Facilitate 'train the trainer' sessions to promote data literacy across departments.
• Act as the main technical liaison between internal business teams and the ERP vendor.
• Leverage advanced Microsoft SQL Server capabilities to manage and analyze ERP data.
• Create, refine, and optimize SQL-based reports, Microsoft SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards.
• Continuously monitor and enhance database performance, focusing on robust data structures and improved system efficiency.
• Establish performance metrics and data quality standards, providing insights for ongoing enhancements.
• Conduct regular data quality assessments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Implement actionable solutions to address data integrity issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in relational database management and development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of full business processes, from order entry through to accounting.
• Advanced skills in SQL programming and design within the Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Proven expertise in creating and managing Microsoft SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and data integration.
• Outstanding communication and documentation skills.
