Senior Database Architect

About the position

This is an LTS - Long Term Supplemental role up to 36 months. The role involves working with business partners to leverage data for developing platforms and solutions that meet mission requirements. The position requires leading the architecture, design, build, and development of business intelligence for high-performance data solutions that are adaptable for modern platforms. It includes evaluating new data sources, developing strategies for warehouse implementation, and supporting the client's Database Management System (DBMS) environments. The role also encompasses managing data governance and client enterprise database as it matures and modernizes, functioning as a technical expert across multiple project assignments, and may involve supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Works with business partners to define ways to leverage data to develop platforms and solutions to meet mission requirements
• Leads the architecture, design, build, and development of business intelligence for high-performance and adaptable data solutions
• Evaluates new data sources and develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery
• Supports client's Database Management System (DBMS) environments through installation and maintenance of COTS DBMS software packages
• Provides industry standards of service including preventive maintenance, inspections, and services to maximize the reliability of infrastructure resources
• Supports full range of data governance to manage data at all levels across the lifecycle
• Manages client Enterprise database and data modeling as it matures and modernizes
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• May supervise others
• Produces and/or is responsible for deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Data architecture, data modeling, data platforms, data lifecycles
• Certifications: 8140 Cert: 421 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated
• TS/SCI
