About the position

The Senior Database Developer will work independently and collaboratively within teams to manage all aspects of RDBMS database design, security, and administration. This role requires advanced SQL Server and Azure Database development skills, focusing on maintaining and rewriting legacy processes to adapt to infrastructure changes. The developer will be responsible for designing, modeling, and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS), ensuring data credibility and relevance through comprehensive analysis and normalization of information related to business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, model, develop, and support Database Management Systems (DBMS).
  • Analyze data requirements and design database schema to meet system requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and normalize information related to business processes.
  • Develop database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms.
  • Create an overall data architecture that supports business information needs.
  • Maintain and rewrite legacy processes to accommodate versioning and infrastructure changes.
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with Project Management and Application Designers.

Requirements

  • 6 to 10 years of IT work experience in DBA, DBMS design and support.
  • Proficiency in Data Manipulation Language (DML), Data Query Language (DQL), and Data Control Language (DCL).
  • Strong expertise in Data Modeling including Logical, Physical, and Relational Modeling.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services, BLOB Storage, DevOps, SQL Data Tools, MS Power Apps, SQL Reporting Services, and MS Power BI.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into viable data models.
  • Experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with security standards set by NIST and Microsoft Trust Center.
  • Familiarity with Penetration testing and internal departmental policies.
  • Superior communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong decision-making and organizational attributes.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate of $55.00-$55.74 per hour.
  • Contract position with a duration of 12 months.
