Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Developer III to join our team in the DMV area. We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply. As a Database Developer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining database systems. This includes working with hardware, software, and network components to create effective database systems that meet customer needs. You will be tasked with developing database documentation and providing users with operational manuals and supporting documentation, including information on changes. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Development Team to integrate and test code, and provide supervision and mentorship to subordinate project and staff members. Your role will also involve troubleshooting potential issues, creating and submitting test reports, and implementing database improvements. You will work closely with other Database Developer IIIs to ensure the success of the projects you are involved in, making your contributions vital to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, supports, and maintains database systems including working with hardware, software, and network components.
  • Designs database systems to meet customer needs, developing effective database systems according to specifications, testing databases, fixing errors and bugs, troubleshooting potential issues, and creating and submitting test reports and database improvements.
  • Develops database documentation and provides users with operational manuals and supporting documentation, including information on changes.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to integrate and test code.
  • Provides supervision and mentorship to subordinate project and staff members. Collaborate with other Database Developer IIIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in IT discipline.
  • Five or more (5+) years of related experience.
  • If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required.
  • If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required.
  • Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development.
  • 4 years of experience in an Agile development environment.
