We are seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses strong technical and analytical skills, with an understanding of accounting systems and E&S insurance software preferred. The individual is expected to understand requirements, identify appropriate designs, code to the design specifications and complete relevant testing to ensure a quality solution delivery. Effective collaboration with the business users, IT, and various stakeholders is required. They will take a lead role with an offshore team and help guide, instruct, and perform code reviews with junior developers. As a Senior Database Developer, you will serve as a developer to design, customize, implement, and support solutions for various platforms within the organization. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and be able to learn and retain a vast amount of information very quickly. Your ability to review and rationally analyze requirements and propose solutions in a timely manner will be crucial. You will create and maintain application documentation as required for specified work assignments and work with an offshore team of developers primarily based in India. In this role, you will help to guide and instruct junior developers with regular knowledge transfer and code review sessions. You will maintain familiarity with new development tools and techniques for systems analysis, design, and development, and work with support and other IT teams to resolve issues as they occur. Additionally, you will support system integration, testing, releases, and maintenance, while following all identified IT processes.
