About the position

The Senior Database Developer at Planet Technologies plays a crucial role in supporting impactful projects for the public sector. This position involves creating and managing database objects based on customer requirements, ensuring that data models conform to industry standards, and normalizing databases to the third normal form. The developer will work closely with customers to translate their needs into technical specifications and implement these into effective database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review current databases and make necessary changes to ensure they meet required standards.
• Create new databases according to customer requirements.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and implement them into databases and their objects.
• Develop SQL databases and Azure Storage solutions for enterprise-level applications.
• Negotiate schemas with front-end developers and business analysts to ensure timely project completion.
• Develop APIs.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience with SQL, .Net, C#, Azure or AWS (preferred), Visual Studio.
• Expertise in developing functions and SQL CRUD statements, including creates, inserts, updates, table alters, deletes, and queries.
• Ability to ensure efficiency in database operations using tools like EXPLAIN PLAN.
• Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
• Comfortable meeting with customers to assess their needs and translate business and technical requirements into working solutions.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance is required.
