About the position

The Senior Database Developer will lead large-scale IT projects, focusing on the DCFS Server Modernization Project, which aims to migrate legacy applications to modern Microsoft Servers. This role requires extensive experience in Agile methodologies and a strong technical background in database management and application development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of legacy applications from outdated hardware and software to modern Microsoft Servers.
• Review up to 150 applications to determine necessary changes for modernization, including modifications, re-platforming, rebuilding, or decommissioning.
• Ensure thorough testing of all applications using new technologies before decommissioning legacy platforms.
• Provide technical and functional leadership throughout the project.
• Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience as a Senior Database Developer.
• Strong background in leading large-scale IT projects.
• Extensive experience in Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database migration and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in ASP.Net application development concepts.
• Experience with Restful API development.
• Experience in application migration to new hosting platforms.
