Epsilon is seeking a Senior Database Developer to implement, maintain, and support proprietary database systems. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of data extraction, transformation, and load programs for large database projects. As part of the technical delivery team, the Senior Database Developer will work with the internal project delivery team to design solutions and implement programs according to the requirements and timelines specified in each statement of work. The Senior Database Developer will collaborate with the tech team to understand business requirements, functional and technical specifications. They will analyze and define data flow requirements and prepare applicable system documentation and operation manuals as needed. The developer will utilize core solution standards to develop and implement initial data loads for database marketing projects, ensuring that data transformation and loading align with business specifications. Additionally, they will support production data loads and ongoing refreshes of the database systems. This position requires defining, preparing, executing, and implementing data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality. The Senior Database Developer will also be responsible for performing enhancements and bug fixes as required, maintaining reusable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs. The role includes maintenance of applications with Oracle 12C on Linux software, requiring strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, analytics functions, exchange partitions, and bulk load functionalities. Furthermore, proficiency in Unix KSH scripting is essential, as the developer will need to create custom wrappers to support the file load process.
