About the position

The Senior Datawarehouse Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database systems primarily using Microsoft SQL Server, while also working with Oracle and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW). This role requires collaboration with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of database systems, supporting various applications and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database structures using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Optimize database performance through indexing and query optimization.
• Design and develop ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across different systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes for timely data processing.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries to improve execution times.
• Implement indexing strategies to speed up data retrieval operations.
• Work with Oracle databases and FAW for cross-platform data integration.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs and processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
• Mentor and guide junior database developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 9+ years of experience in database development and administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL programming, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL programming.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report development.
• Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security management using Microsoft SQL Server tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise with MS SQL Database and other Azure data services.
• Experience with Oracle databases and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW).
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics).
