About the position

As a Senior Demand Planner at LG Electronics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our innovative air conditioning products meet market demands efficiently. Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, you will be part of a dynamic Supply Chain Team that is integral to our operations. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize supply chain processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking to drive success and maintain our reputation for excellence in the air conditioning industry. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. You will determine material requirements based on engineering and production schedules, coordinating the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering teams. Additionally, you will develop specifications for new contract orders and ensure the integrity of procurement business system data, including creating and maintaining bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management systems. You will also plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of shipments through the sales cycle, determining shipment requirements based on market demand. Your role will involve managing PSI plans by SKU/account level and coordinating with factories to ensure production plans align with the latest demand forecasts. Participation in weekly sales and operation planning (S&OP) meetings will be essential to review sales performance, forecast accuracy, and resolve issues to achieve weekly and monthly moving plan targets. Effective communication with account managers regarding project pipeline updates is crucial, ensuring that these updates are reflected in the PSI plan and registered in the system database. You will maintain and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy and fill rate, analyzing variances and initiating appropriate corrective actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for sharing changes in the supply plan and new product introduction/end-of-life schedules with the sales team, proactively resolving any supply issues that arise. Completing complex, topic-specific reports to meet ongoing needs, including various inventory reports and reconciliation of forecast versus actual, will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field is required.
  • Bilingual - Korean and English fluency is required.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative problem-solver with effective communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Experience in cross-functional teams to work effectively in a highly demanding work environment.
  • Strong knowledge in MS Office Applications (Excel & PowerPoint).
