About the position

The Senior Demand Planner at CAIRE Inc. is responsible for the efficient planning and management of material movements, supplier coordination, and forecast planning and analysis. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate scheduling, identifying bottlenecks, and mitigating risks affecting manufacturing. The position requires strong analytical skills and cross-functional leadership to drive continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze information for SIOP meeting and management review.
  • Govern and maintain Global Master Data in MRP related planning code setting, material routing, and safety stock review.
  • Utilize Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) principles in forecast demand, current inventory level, target safety stock, recommended replenishment quantities and lead time to minimize shortages and reduce costs.
  • Engage in cross-functional activities to support New Product Development (NPD), Product Discontinue (EOL), and Product Change Control (CCB) processes.
  • Hold project meetings with key stakeholders to improve supply chain processes and drive efficiency.
  • Design and maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts in ERP.
  • Translate and meet customer/forecasted demand with an efficient and executable supply plan.
  • Advocate and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy and inventory reduction.
  • Collaborate with management, sales, marketing, and manufacturing to understand market trends and ensure effective forecasts.
  • Continuously adapt demand plans based on changes in forecast, production, market, and business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain an optimized inventory plan, balancing production and sales forecasts with financial strategies.
  • Create intercompany transfers and ensure timely availability of materials by coordinating with manufacturing and procurement departments.
  • Provide delivery commitments to internal and external customers and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Create, update, and use automation and data analytics tools around supply chain activities to reduce redundancy in workflow.
  • Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting operations and supply chain initiatives.
  • Implement and execute checks and participate in audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, demand planning, or inventory management, preferably in the medical supply industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Sound time management skills, ability to work under pressure, balancing different priorities and goals.
  • Proficient in planning software, ERP tools, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's in business administration or APICS certification is a plus.
