About the position

The Senior Demand Planner at Sprouts Farmers Market plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate future forecasts that align with Category Management and Merchandise Planning. This position involves close collaboration with various teams to refine product forecasts, manage system exceptions, and drive efficiency in replenishment orders. The role requires utilizing demand planning tools and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Refine and develop forecasts by item for assigned categories.
• Manage system exceptions to maximize fill-rates and freshness.
• Collaborate with DC Inventory Management to share forecasted store orders and inbound demand.
• Partner with the Inventory Analyst team to refine exceptions, new, and discontinued items.
• Align overall category forecast and promotional planning with the Merchandise Planning team.
• Communicate known issues impacting the ability to meet KPIs.
• Create strategies with the broader team to meet category goals.
• Participate actively in weekly meetings to outline trends and minimize negative impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of five years of experience in produce buying or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Ability to supervise personnel and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Strong sense of urgency with prioritization skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Experience with Relex or similar Inventory Management tools preferred.
