About the position

The position involves managing inventory and supply chain processes for clinical trials at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The role focuses on ensuring that study drugs are supplied efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of global clinical trials, while also collaborating with various internal and external teams to optimize supply chain strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, interpret, and review an inventory management plan for study drugs.
• Provide input into User Requirement Specifications of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) medication management module.
• Review IRT strategy to ensure alignment with strategic supply plans.
• Establish connections between demand planning teams and project teams.
• Partner with internal and external project teams and interact with customers to share key data.
• Ensure temperature excursion processes are performed as required.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new employees.
• Stay updated on relevant cGMPs, GCPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct activities safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain and business/operations management preferred.
• 4+ years of supply chain and/or planning experience in global supply chain design and logistics management.
• Understanding of clinical supply requirements and phases of clinical development preferred.
• Strong understanding of the manufacturing process and cost implications.
• Enhanced PC knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office products; SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to professionally represent Thermo Fisher while working directly within a customer site.
• APICS certification or equivalent preferred.
