Join us in our mission to transform the power of diagnostics into a healthier future for all. QuidelOrtho is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to work at our office in Raritan, NJ or San Diego, CA. The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting, planning, and maintaining US consumables finished goods in order to ensure high levels of customer availability while optimizing inventory levels and finished goods scrap. The Senior Demand Planner works in close collaboration with regional marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure appropriate forecasts are generated in accordance with QuidelOrtho's monthly S&OP process, and business decisions are driven and appropriately communicated throughout the organization. The Planner will interact with manufacturing and external vendors, regional marketing teams, global planners, customer service, and logistics teams to procure, supply, and develop inventory stocking strategies to maximize availability and minimize inventory investment. The individual provides ad-hoc analysis of supply performance, demand, and inventory and provides recommendations to management. Continuously analyze the forecast, review forecasted quantities at a consolidated level, check for imbalances, and monitor alerts. Help articulate business exposure and communicate demand uncertainties and risks and develop alternative options. Collaborate on demand planning system upgrade initiatives/projects with 3rd party or project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and/or forecast finished goods requirements using SAP APO DP, including projecting inventory levels and calculating appropriate safety stock.
  • Conduct monthly S&OP reviews with internal and external customers, tracking and reporting on deviations from forecasts and monitoring levels and fulfillment of customer backorders.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of supply plans, scrap projections, demand, and inventory, providing recommendations to management.
  • Accountable for finished goods inventory plans, developing inventory projections, monitoring progress to plan, and reporting status to management.
  • Report and root cause KEY KPI's like forecast accuracy, bias, and inventory targets.
  • Identify and drive plans for improvement of supply chain metrics such as forecast accuracy, bias, inventory, scrap, and availability.
  • Employ quality and lean thinking tools to identify and drive improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years supply chain experience in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge of ERP System and planning processes
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
  • Knowledge of inventory and business case scenario planning
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to function as a team player to build good working relationships and provide back-up as required.
