About the position

The Senior Demand Planner at Thermo Fisher Scientific plays a crucial role in the Clinical Trials Division, focusing on the management and forecasting of study drug supplies for global clinical trials. This position involves designing and implementing inventory management plans, collaborating with internal and external teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role is pivotal in optimizing supply chain strategies to meet client needs effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, interpret, and review an inventory management plan for forecasting study drug supplies.
  • Provide input into User Requirement Specifications of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) medication management module and complete User Acceptance Testing if required.
  • Review the IRT strategy to ensure it supports strategic supply plans and optimize supply and demand.
  • Establish connections between Thermo Fisher demand planning teams and client-specific project teams.
  • Partner with internal and external project teams and interact directly with customers to share key data for effective supply chain planning.
  • Ensure the temperature excursion process is performed as required.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new employees.
  • Stay updated on relevant cGMPs, GCPs, and regulatory requirements to align study management activities.
  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain and business/operations management preferred.
  • 4+ years of supply chain and/or planning experience leading global supply chain design and logistics management, preferably in clinical program design and execution.
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing process and ability to analyze cost implications for the overall business.
  • Enhanced PC knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office products; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to professionally represent Thermo Fisher while working directly within a customer site.
