About the position

The Supply and Demand Planner at Intuitive is responsible for optimizing demand and supply planning activities within the Service Business Unit. This role involves collaboration with various departments to develop key planning initiatives and strategies that support continuous improvement and efficiency in systems and processes. The planner will analyze forecasts, maintain KPIs, and ensure compliance with quality standards while managing inventory levels effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate planning applications for demand planning and material/capacity constrained build plans.
  • Participate in analysis to understand the impact of forecast changes and drivers such as economic trends and competitive issues.
  • Maintain and communicate KPIs, project status updates, and material availability escalations.
  • Create material buffers in planning applications and load MPS into MRP to drive component demand while ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Review demand changes to assess risks and impacts on the supply plan.
  • Create quarterly SIOP charts and data for monthly forecast reviews.
  • Monitor metrics daily to identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures.
  • Think through different demand and supply scenario planning and understand impacts on inventory projections.
  • Use planning applications to drive process and system improvements in forecasting.
  • Manage and review SOX compliance package for MRP load in multiple plants.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and report on inventory health.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business partnerships with cross-functional departments.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to solve complex supply chain issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • Understanding of quality and compliance requirements in the medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems and ERP systems, preferably SAP ERP/BI.
  • Proven skill set in Excel is a must.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in demand and supply chain.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Business Intelligence applications and MS Office products, preferably Tableau and Agile.
  • Experience in a high volume ECO environment dealing with multiple plants.
