The Cardiac Rhythm Management group (CRM) brings our cardiac businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe. Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions. Within CRM R&D, we are seeking a highly skilled High Performance Computing (HPC) Engineer to design, implement, and operate advanced compute environments that support complex computation, simulation, AI/ML workloads, product development, and performance engineering activities. This role combines deep Linux systems expertise, HPC infrastructure engineering, and operational excellence to ensure highly available, scalable, and high-performance compute environments. You will serve as a senior technical contributor and lab/infrastructure expert, partnering closely with engineering, data science, and platform teams to accelerate innovation. In general, the Senior Design Automation Engineer will work across a mix of infrastructure engineering, system operations, and user enablement. A typical day may include: Deploying and maintaining systems – Perform OS deployments, application upgrades, and manage HPC software stacks across compute, storage, and networking environments Supporting users and workflows – Field user requests, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows to improve performance and usability Collaborating across teams – Work closely with IT, Security, Sourcing, Numerical Modeling, AI, IC Design, and other engineering teams to align infrastructure with business needs Driving continuous improvement – Identify opportunities for automation, performance tuning, and process improvements to enhance HPC environment efficiency.
