About the position

The Senior Design/Construction Management Consulting Specialist at Zurich is a pivotal role within the Risk Engineering and Zurich Resilience Solutions Team. This position focuses on managing client relationships and driving revenue through consulting services in design and construction management. The consultant will engage with various stakeholders, including project owners and contractors, to enhance business development and customer satisfaction while supporting the growth of the Construction Business Unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with client companies and their teams.
• Drive revenue by leveraging existing customer relationships into consulting services revenue.
• Provide design and/or construction management consulting services from project concept to final delivery stage.
• Support strategies for sales and distribution opportunities within the organization.
• Analyze market trends and make recommendations to grow the consulting business.
• Engage with executive stakeholders to uncover new sales opportunities.
• Oversee end-to-end processes to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Gather feedback from customers to identify challenges and opportunities.
• Prepare technical reports, including written analysis and illustrations, to deliver consulting recommendations.
• Support Underwriting and Claims Departments with technical assessments of complex claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience in Construction Management/Project Management consulting, or a High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of Engineering Design programs and solutions.
• Experience with the Engineering Design regulatory environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in renewable energy projects and/or sustainable building products.
• Knowledge of Construction Specialty insurance products such as Builders Risk and Professional Liability.
• 15+ years of combined experience in Engineering Design consulting and Construction Management/Project Management consulting.
• Professional certifications such as SE, PE, LEED AP, PMP.
