About the position
The Senior Design Researcher / Senior User Experience Researcher at Priority Designs will lead user-centered research programs, mentor junior team members, and ensure design decisions are informed by user insights. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to advocate for user needs, enhancing the user experience across various products.
Responsibilities
- Write/generate major proposals or major sections of large proposals.
- Maintain ongoing business development efforts and lead in identifying, cultivating, and capturing business opportunities.
- Lead development and execution of capabilities presentations for their practice area.
- Plan and conduct major technical projects or phases of significant technical projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary technical staff.
- Develop research plans and discussion guides incorporating feedback.
- Analyze research results, compile data, and convert findings into actionable insights.
- Present research results to clients.
- Manage recruiters and communicate with clients regarding project progress, scope, and status.
- Demonstrate excellent technical writing skills.
- Visually communicate data and execute visualization or recruit help in doing so.
- Ensure quality of work and deliverables produced by the technical discipline.
- Make project decisions in the best interest of the client and PD with minimal input from other staff.
- Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and oversight to research staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in user-centered research program such as Design Research, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Psychology, Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science or similar field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience leading the execution of user research programs.
- Ability to travel to client sites or other locations as required for project work.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
