About the position

PlanetArt is seeking a Senior Designer for its Content & Merchandising Department. This role focuses on creating visually compelling designs for product collections, driving engagement and sales through innovative design strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate with merchandising leadership, oversee content management, contribute to product development, and mentor junior designers, all while staying ahead of market trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute compelling visual designs for extensive product collections across diverse categories.
• Partner with merchandising leadership to create and implement effective merchandise strategies for specific categories and collections.
• Oversee the curation and selection of engaging content for brand email campaigns.
• Contribute to the creation of new product lines and categories with innovative design concepts.
• Guide and inspire junior designers by providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth.
• Build strong relationships with teams across the organization to effectively collaborate and solve problems together.
• Stay ahead of market trends and consumer preferences by regularly reviewing design and product performance and introducing new design concepts.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Art, Design, or Merchandising degree recommended.
• 5-7 years of experience in graphic design or a related field, preferably in the product market.
• Impeccable eye for details and commitment to quality with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.
• Positive outlook and collaborative spirit.
• High level of creative vision for design development of themes, topics, and categories.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, be flexible, prioritize, and overcome obstacles with creative problem solving and cross-functional partnerships.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
