About the position

The Senior Digital Graphic Designer at KeHE will play a pivotal role in creating and executing high-quality design work for packaging, marketing materials, and tradeshow experiences. This position is essential in ensuring that all design outputs align with the company's mission of promoting good living, good food, and good service. The designer will collaborate closely with various teams, including Marketing, Brand, Sales, and Operations, to ensure best-in-class execution of design projects. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, nimble problem-solving abilities, and a passion for current graphic trends to drive success. The designer will be responsible for creating various graphic assets, updating and maintaining current packaging, and ensuring consistency across all product categories and SKUs. This position also involves communicating with the Creative Lead and other team members to manage timelines and project needs effectively. The designer will participate in broader brand initiatives, revise work based on feedback, and ensure quality and accuracy in all projects. Additionally, the role requires interfacing with suppliers and vendors to communicate desired outcomes for print accuracy and brand integrity, while adhering to brand guidelines and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and creates various graphic assets including CPG packaging, sales collateral, trade show booths, point of sale materials, and PowerPoint templates.
  • Updates and maintains current packaging to ensure consistency across all product categories and SKUs.
  • Creates eye-catching and on-brand deliverables in collaboration with the Creative Lead.
  • Communicates with the Creative Lead, Project Managers, Marketing Manager, Operations, and freelance team regarding timelines and project needs.
  • Ensures quality, accuracy, and attention to detail on all projects.
  • Participates in broader brand team initiatives such as staffing trade show booths and other tasks as needed.
  • Revises work based on internal feedback and performance results in a timely manner.
  • Creates exceptional packaging concepts and demonstrates strong design skills with a proven portfolio.
  • Interfaces with suppliers and vendors to communicate desired outcomes for print accuracy and brand integrity.
  • Follows brand guidelines, legal packaging label requirements, and other policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in art/design or certification in a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of general creative/graphic design experience required.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Monday and BOX is a plus.
  • Strong editing and Adobe Photoshop skills preferred, including photo retouching and enhancements.
  • Print and digital production proficiency is essential.
  • Ability to organize and participate in leading a photo shoot.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working directly for a CPG brand creative/marketing department or within an agency focused on CPG brands preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of CPG packaging legalities and certifications preferred.
