About the position

We are looking for a candidate to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group at our new Corporate Headquarters in Raleigh. This position involves providing technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team. The role includes producing electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule while effectively communicating with the Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer, and design team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems.
- Produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for various facilities.
- Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer, and design team to ensure efficient work completion.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in drafting.
- Vocational certificate or two-year degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience using Autocad and/or Revit software.
- Strong visual and technical skills.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- High level of precision and accuracy in work.
- Ability to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Revit software to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications.
