About the position

The Senior Designer, Interiors at HDR is responsible for leading the interior design process across all project phases, demonstrating mastery in design from programming to construction administration. This role involves supervising the design team, managing client relationships, and effectively communicating design concepts to stakeholders. The position requires a collaborative team player who can maintain a positive attitude and leverage technology for documentation and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interior design team on projects of any size or complexity.
• Be responsible for design in all phases of a project.
• Demonstrate master level knowledge of the interior design process from programming through construction administration.
• Delegate and supervise the work of others.
• Communicate and present design concepts to project stakeholders and industry peers.
• Produce presentation materials and associated documentation using various design software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant design firm environment.
• NCIDQ certificate holder.
• ID license in the state where applicable.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino (or similar), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
