We are currently seeking a Layer7 API Gateway Engineer who will play a pivotal role in enhancing our API management and delivery processes. This position involves leveraging, implementing, and reinforcing the API reference architecture and lifecycle across Broadridge, adhering to the standards set by the API Lead Architect. The successful candidate will assist in identifying the scope, strategy, technology, and roadmap for Layer7 solutions, while also being responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise within the environment or during integrations. The Layer7 API Gateway Engineer will engage in direct hands-on experience with engineering, configuring, and implementing Layer7 Gateway API solutions. This role requires managing multiple technology projects that align with our strategic objectives. You will partner with development and engineering teams to support the design and development of integration solutions and prototypes. As the lead engineer of Broadridge's API Center for Enablement (C4E), you will drive strategy, collaboration, and conformity across the enterprise, promoting the use of APIs to enhance product services and standardization. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will prepare and manage technical documentation and self-service resources related to integrations. Proactive monitoring of integration performance is essential, as is troubleshooting and resolving integration issues while communicating effectively with impacted teams and stakeholders. You will also participate in technical project planning with IT business analysts and other partners, ensuring adherence to established development and integration processes, best practices, and standards. This role may require on-call rotation support for critical issues and the migration of integrations between various Broadridge environments during designated change windows, which may include nights and weekends. Leadership responsibilities include providing direction and mentorship to integration engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
