About the position

The Senior DevOps Engineer Cloud role focuses on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and development processes within a hybrid work environment. The position requires expertise in cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with strong skills in Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code. The role involves leading development projects, implementing modern development practices, and ensuring efficient deployment and management of applications in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and container-based technologies.
• Lead development projects in distributed enterprise environments.
• Set up new development projects using modern tools and practices including Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD in a Linux-based environment.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Shell and other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with teams using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Work with RESTful APIs to manage and configure compute and storage infrastructure.

Requirements

• 6+ years of overall engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in Kubernetes and container-based technologies.
• Strong development skills in Python or Golang.
• Sound experience with Infrastructure as Code/Terraform.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud computing.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem and its tools (Helm, Kustomize, OPA, FluxCD).
• Proficiency with standard Linux command line and debugging tools.
• Experience in writing comprehensive unit tests, including mocking of external utilities and APIs.
