About the position
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support USSOCOM in Hampton, VA. This role involves delivering flexible and efficient operations to enable Special Operations Forces (SOF) Units to carry out their missions on a global scale. The position is hybrid and requires an active Secret Clearance, which will be upgraded to TS/SCI.
Responsibilities
- Deliver flexible and efficient operations for Special Operations Forces (SOF) Units.
- Utilize Cloud DevOps platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud.
- Implement modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
- Work with container technologies and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, or GKE.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a relevant field for Senior level.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Active Secret Clearance; TS preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge of ELK stack and integration techniques.
