The Engineering Services team at LegalZoom designs, builds, deploys, and manages our large-scale software infrastructure. As an engineer on our team, you will combine your expertise and creativity to craft data-driven solutions with our team members. Responsibilities
- Drive productivity by creating tools to empower products to decrease cycle time
- Templatize repositories and build/deployment pipelines for automated cloud hosting
- Maintain AWS hosting platform and security for EC2 / Kubernetes
- Maintain and improve CI/CD practices
- Maintain multiple interconnected AWS accounts, networks, and VPCs
Requirements
- Experience working as a DevOps and/or Cloud Engineer, preferably in a mixed environment
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud Experience with AWS CDK, EC2, EKS, IAM, ALB, NLB, Lambda, Step Functions, and best practices around Networking, VPCs, CloudFormation, etc.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and containerization and experience with managing K8 clusters on cloud
- Experience with one of the programming languages like Python, Golang, or Typescript
- Experience with HashiCorp tools like Vault and Terraform or relevant secrets management
- Experience with Jenkins Pipelines
- Experience in APM monitoring platforms such as Datadog, AppDynamics, NewRelic
- Experience working in a Linux and windows environment
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, work ethic, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
