About the position
The Sr. DevOps Engineer for GEOINT Technology at Cubic will focus on enhancing geospatial intelligence capabilities through high-performance data streaming and robust CI/CD pipelines. This hybrid role involves working with both cloud and on-premises solutions to support critical geospatial intelligence operations, ensuring data integrity and compliance with military-grade standards. The position requires a strong technical background in geospatial data technologies and server management, with responsibilities spanning design, development, testing, and deployment engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation and CI/CD pipeline improvements using Jenkins, GitLab, and MS Team Foundations Server (TFS).
- Provide technical direction to development teams and drive strategic solutions.
- Design, implement, and support development and production network environments.
- Communicate technical advancements and create proposals, design reviews, and vendor evaluations.
- Ensure continuous improvement by identifying engineering process enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong background with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure, AWS, Windows, and Linux.
- Familiarity with PC software (Word, Excel, CASE tools).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Active Secret clearance or higher preferred.
- US citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with geospatial data technologies such as PostGIS, ArcGIS, and QGIS.
- Experience in hybrid deployments and high-performance server management.
