About the position

Join our amazing team! SONIFI Solutions, Inc., the leader in technology solutions for the hospitality and healthcare industries, is looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to the team! The Senior DevOps Engineer contributes to the transformation to DevOps and Continuous Delivery across the organization. They will work directly with Development, QA, and Support using agile methodologies to implement innovative, reliable, and secure solutions in AWS. The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate with Agile teams across a full stack of development tools and technologies, provisioning, configuring, maintaining, and debugging containerization, and designing cloud infrastructure surrounding secure networking best practices. They will help implement industry-leading technologies and toolsets to enable developers to innovate in record time. They will help create, evolve, scale, integrate, fortify, and automate our deployment pipeline and core services to solve unique and constantly iterating engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manages, builds, configures, administers, operates, and maintains components that comprise the DevOps environment (development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure).
• Designs and maintains tools to automate operational processes, reduce operational friction, and increase engineering efficiency.
• Integrate continuous testing tools to provide quick and timely feedback on the quality of the software release and code, enabling teams to integrate and deploy code with CI/CD pipelines in a secure, reliable, and efficient manner.
• Contributes to team collaboration in order to enhance our CI/CD solution for the platform and logging infrastructures.
• Helps maintain DevOps Operational environments, automating and using infrastructure as code, ensuring appropriate security and access levels to environment tools and resources.
• Helps maintain and monitor the performance of production systems, providing support, giving recommendations for enhancing performance, assisting in implementation, and performing infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
• Acts as an escalation point to troubleshoot and resolve issues in hybrid and multi-cloud environments for any system, network, and infrastructure problems.
• Helps to design, implement and maintain internal development environments and AWS infrastructure including operation, security and compliance aspects including tools and processes for tenant provisioning and onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering and 4+ years of industry experience required or the equivalent education and/or experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux and/or cloud computing platforms (such as AWS) is required.
• Demonstrable scripting experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Ruby, Python, Shell) is required.
• Experience with a continuous delivery model of deploying software is required.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous testing is required.
• Experience in a DevOps role focused on containerization, cloud computing is required.
• Experience with use of pipelines to support matching environments, automated deployment, pipelines, and version control efforts is required.
• Experience with monitoring and lifecycle management of systems, platforms, and pipelines is required.
• Proven history of working directly with application and development teams is required.
• Must have a good level of oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and deductive reasoning skills are required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with infrastructure as code and continuous integration tools (e.g. Terraform, TeamCity, CodeFresh, GitHub Actions) is preferred.
• Experience in designing, analyzing, & troubleshooting large-scale systems is preferred.
