About the position

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the enterprise analytical data environment known as UDH, which is built on AWS technologies. This position involves optimizing production environments, leading the design and development of data applications, and providing technical direction to the team. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance business capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support large scale data pipelines in a distributed and scalable environment
• Enable and optimize production AWS environment for data infrastructure and frameworks
• Partner with development teams and other department leaders/stakeholders to provide cutting edge technical solutions that enable business capabilities
• Participate and lead in design and development of innovative batch and streaming data applications using AWS technologies
• Provide the team technical direction and approach to be undertaken and guide them in resolution of queries/issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• 8+ years in IT or Software Engineering
• Experience with Big Data Technologies
• Hands-on experience with AWS Services (Airflow, Glue, Lambda, etc.)
• Proficiency in Spark and PySpark
• Thorough knowledge in one or more programming languages
• Experience with Linux
• Strong SQL skills
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Bash scripting
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to solve problems under pressure
• Leadership experience
• Experience with Power BI or any BI system
