About the position

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Continuum Performance Systems, Inc. will play a crucial role in supporting hosting solutions for our clients. This position requires collaboration with web developers and the infrastructure team to create and manage build automation that supports deployment and file load processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with technology stacks within cloud environments, specifically AWS and OCI. A strong ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential, along with a solid understanding of IT concepts and the IT design and delivery life cycle. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions using tools such as Ansible and Python. You will create Ansible playbooks for deployment and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will build and set up new development tools and infrastructure on AWS and OCI, enhance file manipulation and data processing engines using Python, YAML, and various AWS and OCI services, and manage the deployment process during business and off-hours. You will also oversee and enhance existing automated build processes, develop technical documents to accurately represent the state of applications, and assist in process improvement and release management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development leads and the infrastructure team to design, build, document, and test solutions for data interchange and business process automation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Python.
  • Create Ansible playbooks for deployment and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure on AWS and OCI.
  • Enhance file manipulation and data processing engine using Python, YAML, and various AWS and OCI services.
  • Manage deployment process during business and off-hours, oversee and enhance existing automated build process.
  • Develop technical documents to accurately represent the state of applications.
  • Assist in process improvement and release management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Ansible Developer with strong knowledge of Ansible playbook development and automation workflows.
  • Proven experience with building automation tools, especially Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience in Python and shell scripting with data and workflow management applications and file manipulations.
  • Software administration experience preferably on AWS or OCI, DevOps tooling.
  • General IT knowledge including applications development, testing, deployment, continuous integration, git, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, and networking.
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, and DB administration is a plus.
  • Ability to research and solve problems independently.
  • Experience with change control management and issue tracking using Atlassian tool suite: JIRA, Confluence.
