IDEXX Telemedicine works together with our customers for improved outcomes for small animal, equine, exotics, dental, cardiac, and other consults. Our Telemedicine consultants provide dependable answers to customers' routine and challenging diagnostic questions, collaborative consultations that enable practices to take precise clinical action, and ECG screening plans that fit individual practice needs. As a member of the IDEXX DevOps team, you will architect, build, and support cloud-based networking and computing infrastructure for the Telemedicine line of business within IDEXX. Your focus will be building and supporting their solutions utilizing the Amazon Web Services Platform, Microsoft Windows Server, and SQL Server. You will also, on a continuous basis, ensure that the solution is tuned to address business requirements by gathering metrics and identifying and implementing system enhancements. You will also track and understand new developments in cloud technologies and, when applicable, apply them to new and existing configurations. Our DevOps engineers are embedded with development teams and work with our Scrum teams on continuously delivering reliable and intuitive products. Participate in Scrum/Agile "rituals". Work with software reliability team, software developers, and business partners to increase reliability through automation. Collaborate with fellow DevOps teammates to learn/teach and experience everything that the organization has to offer in the way of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and support cloud-based networking and computing infrastructure for the Telemedicine line of business.
  • Utilize Amazon Web Services Platform, Microsoft Windows Server, and SQL Server for building and supporting solutions.
  • Continuously ensure that the solution is tuned to address business requirements by gathering metrics and implementing system enhancements.
  • Track and understand new developments in cloud technologies and apply them to configurations as applicable.
  • Participate in Scrum/Agile rituals and collaborate with development teams.
  • Work with software reliability team, software developers, and business partners to increase reliability through automation.
  • Collaborate with fellow DevOps teammates to learn and teach technology best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working within Software Development teams as an embedded DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience in researching and developing DevOps solutions using infrastructure as code (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • System administration experience or exposure (Linux or Windows servers).
  • Cloud infrastructure experience, with a strong preference for AWS.
  • Configuration Management experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
