About the position

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at our startup, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our real-time market analytics platform tailored for consumer goods corporations. Our company, located in Midtown, is dedicated to developing a mobile application that rewards consumers for participating in online surveys while simultaneously providing companies with the most relevant market data in real-time. With a recent influx of $4 million in seed funding, we are poised for growth and innovation in the market analytics space. In this position, you will be part of a small, dynamic team of 12, including 5 engineers, where collaboration is key. You will work closely with senior professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to our advanced tech stack, which includes Node.js on the back-end and React on the front-end. Your expertise in AWS will be essential as you help us optimize our cloud infrastructure and ensure the reliability and scalability of our applications. Responsibilities

• Optimize and manage AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation of applications.
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with AWS services.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools to ensure system reliability.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to AWS Lambda and Elastic Search.
• Experience with Node.js and React frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
