About the position

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Architect will support a large government software modernization program, providing leadership and technical expertise for the delivery pipeline. This role involves contributing to program leadership, supporting technical governance, and implementing standards for multi-vendor system integration. The engineer will also design and develop improvements to the continuous integration and delivery pipeline while performing site reliability engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support a large government software modernization program.
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise for the delivery pipeline.
  • Contribute to program leadership and support technical governance, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement standards and monitoring of assistive components for delivery.
  • Design and develop improvements to the modern continuous integration continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Perform site reliability engineering tasks.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code on large scale multi-site deployments.
  • Evaluate and assess new ways to scale platform capabilities.
  • Automate workflows to enable continuous delivery of capabilities onto a hybrid infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues on high traffic production systems and understand root causes.
  • Participate in design and code review processes.
  • Interact with product owners to coordinate infrastructure changes.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve performance of the platform.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen to obtain a DHS suitability clearance.
  • BS degree with 10 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) technologist.
  • Expert in Agile, CI/CD pipeline, and cloud-based microservice architecture practices and implementations across multi-vendor large teams.
  • Eight-plus (8+) years of experience working in Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of configuration/package management experience using tools like Terraform, Helm, etc.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience with Cloud service monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD, ElasticStack, SumoLogic, etc.
