About the position

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving the efficient and effective deployment of Software Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevSecOps tools, with a particular emphasis on the Export controlled toolchain. Your responsibilities will include deploying upgrades for IBM ClearCase/ClearQuest and Atlassian tools, ensuring their optimal usage, and acting as the primary interface between the tools team and users to resolve any issues that arise. You will take end-to-end ownership of the Export control toolchain, providing comprehensive support and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. In this role, you will contribute to the operations and support of Export Control and ITAR tools, adhering to defined best practices and implementing robust support processes. You will maintain a well-structured Service Desk setup to support the ITAR Toolchain within IBM ClearCase/ClearQuest and Atlassian tools. Your coordination skills will be essential as you manage application deployments, upgrades, and changes, working closely with application development teams, business stakeholders, and IT to define upgrade plans and communicate effectively with tool users. You will also be responsible for implementing operational monitoring for all ITAR tools, creating publicly visible dashboards to track application availability and status. Regular assessments will be necessary to maintain Honeywell's Global Security standards, including patching and hardening processes. In the event of incidents, you will contribute to investigations and root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and ensuring representation on IT outage bridges when necessary. Collaboration with third-party vendors and contractors for tool development and maintenance will also be part of your responsibilities. Your focus will be on delivering a five-star user experience, addressing improvement requests, and ensuring adherence to established US export control regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards in tool management and user support.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Export Control & ITAR Tools operations and support, following defined best practices and maintaining a robust Service Desk setup.
  • Coordinate application deployments, upgrades, and changes with relevant application development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Define the upgrade and communication plan for tool users, sending out notifications regarding upgrades and outages.
  • Implement robust operational monitoring for all ITAR tools with publicly visible dashboards and application availability status.
  • Regularly assess and maintain Honeywell Global Security standards, including patching and hardening.
  • Contribute to incident management investigations and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for tools development and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a five-star user experience and address improvement requests and suggestions.
  • Understand and adhere to established US export control and other regulations defined for the environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM) of development data.
  • Experience managing ClearCase and ClearQuest with Base/Unified Change Management (UCM).
  • Experience in handling GIT or Bitbucket projects and servers.
  • Experience working with Atlassian suite of products like Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technology as per strategic priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work well with others in a self-directed, virtual environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assume a variety of application support roles.
  • Knowledge of IBM Doors and Doors-NG.
