About the position

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving the efficient and effective deployment of Software Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevSecOps tools, with a particular emphasis on Export controlled toolchains. Your responsibilities will include deploying upgrades for IBM ClearCase/ClearQuest and Atlassian tools, ensuring their optimal usage, and acting as the primary interface between the tools team and users to address any needs that arise. This position requires end-to-end ownership and support of the Export control toolchain, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. In this role, you will contribute to the operations and support of Export Control and ITAR tools, adhering to defined best practices and implementing support processes. You will maintain a robust Service Desk setup to support the ITAR Toolchain within IBM ClearCase/ClearQuest and Atlassian tools. Coordination of application deployments, upgrades, and changes will be essential, as you will work closely with application development teams, business stakeholders, and IT to define upgrade plans and communicate effectively with tool users regarding upgrades, outages, and other relevant information. You will also be responsible for implementing robust operational monitoring for all ITAR tools, ensuring visibility through dashboards and maintaining application availability status. Regular assessments and maintenance of Honeywell Global Security standards, including patching and hardening, will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will contribute to incident management investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Your role will involve coordinating with third-party vendors and contractors for tools development and maintenance activities, ensuring a five-star user experience by addressing improvement requests and suggestions. Understanding and adhering to established US export control regulations will be critical in this position, as you will be responsible for ensuring compliance in all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Export Control & ITAR Tools operations and support, following defined best practices and maintaining a robust Service Desk setup.
  • Coordinate application deployments, upgrades, and changes with relevant application development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Implement robust operational monitoring for all ITAR tools with publicly visible dashboards and application availability status.
  • Regularly assess and maintain Honeywell Global Security standards including patching and hardening.
  • Contribute to incident management investigation and root cause analysis when tools are affected, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and contractors for tools development and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a five-star user experience and address improvement requests and suggestions.
  • Understand and adhere to established US export control and other regulations defined for the environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM) of development data.
  • Experience managing ClearCase and ClearQuest with Base/Unified Change Management (UCM).
  • Experience in handling GIT or Bitbucket projects and servers.
  • Experience working with Atlassian suite of products like Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technology as per strategic priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work well with others in a self-directed, virtual environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assume a variety of application support roles.
  • Knowledge of IBM Doors, Doors-NG.
