BAE Systems is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, supporting the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) efforts to implement the architecture, required services, and facilitate Army adoption of the DoD Cloud services under the Army's Cloud Enterprise Technology Services (CETS) contract. The CETS program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) to support overall strategy and migration to the Army cloud (cARMY) environment that currently includes Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure clouds at IL 2, 4, 5, and 6. The successful candidate will design and develop application software and systems, including provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevOps and/or continuous delivery environment. This role involves using automated deployment and testing frameworks, implementing and maintaining a DevSecOps pipeline within cARMY to facilitate continuous integration/delivery based upon DoD and industry best practices. The engineer will leverage DevSecOps pipeline toolchains to facilitate version control, automated orchestration, package management, builds, testing, security evaluation, and deployments. Additionally, the engineer will employ ECMA and/or DoD enterprise or community-provided DevSecOps tools or approved custom tools to deliver software from lower to higher security domains, meeting all cyber and RMP compliance requirements per DoD and Army policies. Collaboration with hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of data processing systems for product and commercial software is essential. The role also requires determining computer user needs, analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls, and designing and developing compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Direct people-management responsibility is required.
