About the position
The Senior DevSecOps Specialist at Valiant Integrated Services plays a crucial role in supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Advance Red Cyber program. This position focuses on executing Red Team Assessments, which involve evaluating protection strategies from an adversarial perspective. The specialist will be responsible for developing innovative tools for Red Cyber team Operators to enhance cyber assessment operations for U.S. Government and DoD critical networks.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools, exploits, and code for red cyber operations.
- Conduct open-source research on cyber-related vulnerabilities and exploitation development.
- Analyze source code as a reverse engineer to develop tools or exploits.
- Perform code reviews on all offensive scripts/code and shepherd them through approval processes.
- Analyze operational Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs) and develop exploits and scripts to automate and improve operational processes.
- Document safe and secure usage for internally and externally developed tools in accordance with Red Team policies and procedures.
- Support and/or conduct DevOps review of code for operational approval.
- Leverage existing proof of concept code to build and tailor exploits for use in Command and Control (C2) tools.
- Support the development and tuning of C2 tools to enhance effectiveness and reduce detection likelihood.
- Support urgent development requests as required in support of assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
Nice-to-haves
- Expertise in scripting or development in one or more languages (e.g., C, C++).
- Experience with reverse engineering and analyzing source code.
