About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer leads the BI department, focusing on the development and execution of data-driven strategies that support various functional areas such as marketing, operations, and customer service. This strategic role requires expertise in data analysis, business strategy, and leadership to enhance decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of BI analysts and specialists, crafting and implementing a BI strategy that complements the company's objectives.
• Manages the architecture, maintenance, and governance of company data, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility.
• Develops robust analytics frameworks to monitor key metrics across the organization and provides actionable insights to department heads and executive leadership.
• Partners with the marketing department to assess campaign effectiveness, customer segmentation, and market trends.
• Engages closely with various stakeholders to pinpoint business needs and opportunities, converting business requirements into technical specifications and effective BI solutions.
• Keeps pace with industry trends and advancements in BI tools and methodologies, proposing and implementing upgrades and innovations in BI processes and technologies.
• Mentors and develops team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Works on regularly scheduled days as well as unscheduled days and/or beyond regular work hours due to customer or operational demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a BI role with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proficient in BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Looker), database management systems (e.g., Snowflake, MS SQL server), and data development languages (SQL preferred, Python, etc.).
• Looker and Snowflake experience and proficiency are required.
• Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and management with a proven ability to translate business needs into non-technical terms and BI solutions.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure.
