About the position

Adecco is seeking a Contract Sr Level Developer specializing in CMS/PHP to join a large client in The Woodlands, TX. This role involves working collaboratively with a team of developers to build, implement, and support customer-facing applications in an agile environment. The position is expected to last possibly up to a year and will report to a Tech Lead/Manager.

Responsibilities

• Implements, maintains, troubleshoots, and resolves problems relating to corporate content, community, and transactional sites.
• Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with clients.
• Gains a working knowledge of the company's business drivers and determines opportunities/benefits for improvement of business performance by using information technologies.
• Works with other IT staff to deploy company strategies in the field and resolve problems.
• Participates in technology planning and development cycles.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with enterprise-level development using CMS frameworks like Drupal or Joomla.
• Enterprise-level PHP development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and JQuery.
• Enterprise-level Java development experience preferred.
• Familiarity with version control and version management, preferably Subversion.
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
