As a Senior Developer Relations Engineer for Android Auto, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Google and the developer community. This position is a blend of community management and developer advocacy, where you will engage with developers at conferences and online, while also representing their interests within Google. Your hands-on approach will involve writing sample code, creating client libraries, and actively participating in developer forums to troubleshoot and debug coding issues that developers face. In this role, you will work closely with product engineering teams to enhance our offerings by relaying developer feedback, reviewing API designs, and testing new features. You will be an advocate for developers, ensuring their voices are heard by Product Managers and providing them with the necessary support in application development and technology implementation. The Android Auto Developer Relations team specifically focuses on helping developers optimize their applications for Android Auto, which includes understanding best practices for automotive applications and the business conditions that contribute to their success. As a Technical Lead within the Android Developer organization, your responsibilities will extend to engaging with third-party developers to support Android Auto and Android Auto OS. You will concentrate on APIs, products, services, and tools that empower developers to create exceptional user experiences. Android, as an open-source mobile operating system, powers over 3 billion devices globally, and your work will contribute to making computing accessible to everyone. You will help OEMs and developers build innovative devices that run the best applications and services, enhancing connectivity and productivity for users around the world.
