About the position

The Senior Developer role focuses on developing scalable and high-impact software components and client-facing web applications using TypeScript and NodeJS. The position requires a strong background in software development lifecycle concepts, with an emphasis on best practices in coding, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days a week in Orlando, FL, and involves collaboration within an incident messaging group.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable software components and client-facing web applications using TypeScript and NodeJS.
• Implement and adhere to software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, including CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development.
• Design and develop Restful APIs using NodeJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Create user interfaces using Angular and other relevant technologies.
• Manage and optimize database applications such as Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Utilize cloud computing services and infrastructure, particularly AWS services like EC2, Lambdas, and API Gateway.
• Configure and use code management and deployment tools effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly in coding and development of scalable applications.
• Proficiency in software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts and best practices.
• Strong experience in Object-Oriented design principles and coding best practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Restful API development using NodeJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience in UI development using Angular and related technologies.
• Strong experience with database applications such as Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience with AWS cloud computing and infrastructure.
