The Senior Digital Buyer is a pivotal role within our organization, primarily responsible for managing large accounts and driving growth in client budgets while increasing profitability year over year. This position operates independently and requires a deep understanding of digital media, allowing the Senior Buyer to effectively share insights and knowledge with both clients and colleagues. The role is hybrid, based in Pearl River, NY, and involves close collaboration with the Associate Director to manage and train a team of buyers and assistants, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Senior Digital Buyer will serve as the lead buyer for high-profile accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with client and agency contacts. The responsibilities include negotiating trade terms with vendors for new campaigns, creating profit and loss statements, and working with assistants to generate media authorization forms and insertion orders. The Senior Buyer will also coordinate with assistants to ensure that buys are accurately input into systems and that billing is reconciled in a timely manner. The position requires proactive thinking, as the Senior Buyer will provide thought starters for potential campaign activities and manage the RFP process when necessary. This includes researching the intended audience, contacting vendors, and negotiating pricing and trade terms. The Senior Buyer will also be responsible for updating forecasting documents weekly, managing reporting schedules, and reviewing weekly reports on assigned accounts. Communication with clients and agencies is crucial, as the Senior Buyer will send detailed topline overviews of pacing and performance, along with suggested optimizations. Additionally, the Senior Buyer will collaborate with the Trade department to build relationships and negotiate deals with target vendors, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the company's corporate trade model. Participation in ad hoc projects with upper management may also be required, depending on the needs of the business.
