About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at abrdn Inc. is responsible for overseeing all aspects of digital marketing in the US, ensuring the effective integration of various digital activities to enhance the corporate brand and support business growth. This role involves developing strategies for e-business, managing website content, coordinating email communications, optimizing search engine marketing, and leading online advertising efforts. The manager will also analyze digital marketing performance, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while fostering collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an e-business strategy that strengthens the corporate brand in the US through ongoing digital marketing initiatives.
  • Act as a ‘digital evangelist', ensuring digital is integrated into the overall marketing mix.
  • Develop digital marketing acquisition and retention programs to support business growth.
  • Ensure websites are up-to-date and consistent with public-facing marketing activities.
  • Manage client email lists and databases, and develop email communications to increase subscriber numbers.
  • Coordinate and develop search engine optimization and PPC activities.
  • Oversee online advertising creative development and media buying to drive traffic and raise brand awareness.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and interpretation of digital marketing performance.
  • Develop and refine a metrics framework to measure digital marketing activity against objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate resources required for digital marketing initiatives, including agencies and interns.
  • Liaise with global colleagues to ensure best practices and brand governance are applied.
  • Manage budgets for digital marketing activities and develop relationships with internal teams and competitors.
  • Develop social media strategies to increase engagement and visibility.
  • Ensure digital marketing complies with regulatory and company frameworks.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of asset management digital marketing experience.
  • Experience in a digital marketing leadership role encompassing growth, performance marketing, and lifecycle/CRM.
  • Deep experience in developing multi-channel digital media strategies and long-term channel plans.
  • Understanding of channel dynamics and targeted digital media tactics for lead generation and conversion.
  • In-depth understanding of paid media and earned social strategies.
  • Management of paid search accounts across Adwords.
  • Ability to drive a data-first approach and employ client data for media strategies.
  • Experience with marketing technology platforms including CRM, Marketing Automation, CMS, Analytics, and UX.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proactive approach.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing technology platforms enterprise set-up.
  • Knowledge of current marketing and analytics technology such as ad tech, Double Click, Ad Words, DV360, programmatic, Meta, and LinkedIn business suites.
